Boston based newbies Tempting Heights have just released to the world their self-titled EP that was recorded right here in the area. With a diversity of sounds influenced by bands such as Jimmy Eat World and Taking Back Sunday, the guys have crafted a sound that is all their own, but is respective of their influences to create something that is both challenging and unique for the listener to latch onto, and become acquainted with its musical sensibilities and qualities. Just like you, I didn't know much about this band going in, but I gradually became fixated on the band's ever developing sound that is starting to gain some traction and steam moving forward. Guitarist Matt Dumont is a fellow Northeastern alum like myself, and we share the same passion and desire for all things related to music, and that love clearly shines through with his band. Featuring insatiable melodies and a strong lyrical framework, the band is amplifing their sound into something that is truly unique and special. An immensley gifted act that has all of the musical weapons in their arsenal right at their disposal, ready to make the most of it.
