Sheffield, UK indie pop poster boys Bayonet have released their brand new, vivacious single called "Call Me When It's Over". The cooing vocals and swooning melodies hit you like a ton of bricks the moment the music starts playing, and doesn't let up until right the very end. I developed a huge musical crush on these lads right from the get go, and they have a real knack for burrowing inside your collective musical consciousness where they'll reside for quite some time, echoing the love that they feel for you and returning that said affection with undying support. I was positively stunned when I heard Bayonet for the first time, I couldn't believe the sheer beauty that was emanating so strongly from the speakers and their ridiculous British charm that works wonders on just about anyone they come in contact with. Anyone who knows me knows my affinity for British pop-punk and indie rock, and Bayonet are perhaps one of the most enticing and exciting acts to come out of the U.K. in quite some time. It's at moments like these where I'm so grateful to be hearing such unheralded beauty blasting out of the speakers. Please do yourself a favor and listen to Bayonet right now!
