From the outskirts of Los Angeles comes the blues soul sounds of The Reverend Shawn Amos, who will be stopping by locally at Atwood's Tavern on Thur. 8/17. He just released a music video for his brand new single "Ain't Gonna Name Names" that brings about an old school sense of musicality that you just don't see much anymore, and desires to bring about an infectious way of bringing together everyone musically for one big party. I really enjoyed what I head to hear from The Reverend, and he really has a unique vibe to him that captures the musical aura surrounding him and the presence that is best experienced live in concert where he dictates what he intends to accomplish musically from the outset. There is definitely plenty to be desired from The Reverend's music, so it would most certainly be worth your while to check him out in concert as he exudes a musical confidence that you just don't see too often in music anymore.
