Boston alt-grunge outfit Sunshine Riot are back with their brand new single out to the masses today titled "Looking At The Past". The track is a reflective piece that allows the band to take elements from yesteryear, but translate it on a more modern aesthetic that today's audience will comprehend and fall in line with. I've featured the band a couple of times before here on the site, and I've always appreciated how they keep things simple for the listener, and don't feel the need to do extraneous production and just have a simple and unique creative vision. The song takes in 90's era grunge and melds it in with piercing vocals that get the listener's attention, and make them maintain their focus. Sunshine Riot definitely have that mojo going for them, and they're looking to move forward even further this year with this promising barn burner.
