Boston area musical collective Statue have unleashed their brand new single to the masses just the other day titled "Slut Era". The song is a lushly produced, instantly memorable track that will have you listening on a loop just to wrap your head around all of the awesomeness this band has just amassed. Fronted by Nico Daglio, the band has been gaining traction in the local scene as of late. I saw the band last August at The Lilypad in Inman Square in Cambridge where they were playing with my good friend Doug Poppe from An Triangles. What really struck me about the group was their hard working DIY ethos that they strive to achieve with each and every performance that they do, and they achieve it with remarkable aplomb. Another highlight is drummer Ian Niblack's drumming skills and his custom designed outfits that really stand out amongst the crowd. The band's sound has a strong indie aesthetic but it's best to hear it for yourself and draw your own musical comparison. An incredible track from a local band that is on the cusp of achieving something special.

You can listen to "Slut Era" now available on all major streaming platforms and for more on Statue, follow them on Instagram right here for all the latest news, plus concert pics and vids.
