Brooklyn Based Alt-Folk Quartet Yarn Gearing For 10/5 City Winery Show in Boston

NYC based alt-folk outfit Yarn are gearing up to hit the Boston area this Saturday, 10/5 when they grace the stage at City Winery in Boston, right near the TD Garden. The band's sound is reared from a Southern rock mindset with echoes of The Allman Brothers Band thrown in, but with a strong emphasis on melody, songwriting, and musical consistency that you can hear immediately right from the first note. The guitarist for the group Andrew Trongone (second to left) was a member of The Trongone Band whom I had the pleasure of featuring on the site and checking out in concert they played at The Middle East Upstairs about 10 years ago. I was blown away not only because of his majestically beautiful hair, but by his musical abilities and the way he connects seamlessly with the audience and makes it so effortless and enthusiastic when he performs live and really initiates a strong rapport with the crowd. He definitely fits in with Yarn's sound, and this show is bound to illicit a strong reaction and garner a few more fans in the process as well.
